Christ Church
As a Church School we are proud of our Christian foundations and the inclusive nature of our school which enables pupils and families of all backgrounds to feel part of the Sambourne Family.
The school has a strong link with Christ Church which is located opposite the school site. Vicar Lorraine and her team are regular visitors to school and support in the running of enrichment activities. With the support of Warminster School sixth form pupils they run 'Fun Club' during the autumn and spring terms which aims to promote teamwork, resilience and self-confidence in the pupils that attend.
The church team lead a weekly Collective Worship which alternates between the church and school hall. Due to the additional capacity parents and carers are always welcome to join us when we are at church.
We also hold special services in the church throughout the year:
Harvest Festival
Christmas Carol Service
EYFS / KS1 Nativity
Easter Service
End of year / Leavers Service
These are always well attended, often resulting in standing room only.
Our school logo is based on this stained glass window in the church.
